Tumbling, acro and cheer prep classes in Calhoun
Dancers' Workshop Calhoun runs 16 tumbling classes a week at our Magnolia Lane studio in Calhoun, Georgia, from Tiny Tumble at 18 months to Level 1 through Level 5 groups for ages 6 and up. Acro starts at age 3, and our Wednesday Cheer Prep class is open to ages 4 and up.

Acro dance classes
Intro to Acro for 3-year-olds, then Acro Dance for ages 4-6 and 7 and up.
Cheer prep class for ages 4 and up
One Cheer Prep class on Wednesdays, open to ages 4 and up.
Tumbling or gymnastics?
Our tumbling classes meet at our dance studio, 101 Magnolia Lane, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Gymnastics meets at the DW Gymnastics Center, 550 Jolly Road NW, on Mondays and Thursdays.
Tumbling is grouped by age, and from age 6 by level too, from Level 1 to Level 5.
Gymnastics is grouped by age: 3, 4-5, 6-7, and 8 and up, with advanced groups for ages 5-7 and 8 and up by invitation.
Tumbling starts at 18 months with Tiny Tumble, and gymnastics at age 3. Three-year-olds can take tumbling on Wednesdays, or gymnastics for 3-year-olds on Jolly Road.
What to wear
- Rule 9
Leotards or athletic wear are fine. No jeans, and no dresses without shorts underneath. Hair pulled back in a ponytail or out of the face for every class.
What age can my child start tumbling at DW Calhoun?
At 18 months. Dancers' Workshop Calhoun's Tiny Tumble class is for 18 months to 2 years on Mondays, and 3yr Tumble runs on Wednesdays.
What is the difference between tumbling and gymnastics at DW Calhoun?
Our tumbling classes meet at our dance studio on Magnolia Lane and are grouped by age and level. Gymnastics classes meet at the DW Gymnastics Center, 550 Jolly Road NW, on Mondays and Thursdays.
How long are tumbling classes?
Tiny Tumble is 30 minutes, the 3yr Tumble classes are 45 minutes, and our other tumbling classes are 60 minutes.
When is Cheer Prep?
Wednesdays, 4:15 PM to 5:00 PM, for ages 4 and up, at our dance studio on Magnolia Lane.
