Dance classes in Calhoun, from ballet to hip hop
Dancers' Workshop Calhoun teaches ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and musical theatre in Calhoun, Georgia, from age 3 through high school. On our 2026-27 schedule, ballet is always paired with tap, jazz, hip hop or baton. Lyrical starts at age 8 and musical theatre at age 6, and every class performs in our end of year recital.

Hip hop classes for kids and teens
From the 3yr Ballet/Hip Hop class up to middle and high school.
Lyrical and jazz
Lyrical/Jazz starts at age 8. Younger dancers take jazz in the Ballet/Jazz classes above.
Musical theatre
One class, for ages 6 and up.
Shoes and recital costumes
- Rule 10
Dance classes require specific shoes (color and style set per class), brought to every class. Shoes are not included in tuition.
- Rule 21
Recital costumes are an extra fee, not included in tuition, and are required for the end of year recital. There is one costume per style (a ballet and tap combo class needs two). Tumble classes wear a recital t-shirt and bow. Costume fees are split into 2 payments, and smaller increments are allowed.
Does DW Calhoun offer ballet on its own?
Not on our 2026-27 schedule. Every ballet class at Dancers' Workshop Calhoun is a combination class: Ballet/Tap, Ballet/Jazz, Ballet/Hip Hop or Ballet/Baton.
Are dance shoes included in tuition?
No. Each dance class has required shoes in a set color and style, and shoes are not included in tuition (studio rule 10).
Are recital costumes extra?
Yes. Recital costumes are an extra fee, one per style, and we split costume fees into two payments (studio rule 21).
